1. What We Collect

Account information. When you sign up (email/password or Google), we store your email address, display name, and — if you sign in with Google — your Google profile picture URL.

Usage data. We track how many queries you send each day to enforce the free-tier limit (10 queries/day). No query content is stored.

Screenshots & uploaded files. When you capture a region of your screen or upload a file on the study page, the content is sent to our self-hosted AI inference server (operated by us on our own GPU hardware) for processing. The content is held in memory only for the duration of the inference request and is never written to disk or logged. No third-party AI provider receives your data.

Chat history (study page). Your study sessions and chat history are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and are not uploaded to our servers. You can clear them at any time by deleting your browser data.

Subscription data. If you purchase a subscription, we store your subscription status and plan type. Payment processing is handled entirely by Paddle — we never see your payment details.

2. How We Use Your Data

To authenticate you, enforce daily usage limits, provide premium features, and improve the extension. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties except as described here.

3. Third-Party Services

AI inference. AI processing is performed on our own self-hosted GPU infrastructure. Your screenshots and queries are not sent to any third-party AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, etc.).

4. Data Retention

We keep your account data until you delete your account. Usage counters reset daily. You can request data deletion by emailing owner@visionai.chat.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Contact us at owner@visionai.chat.
